Student Council Information

All positions require students to maintain 2.5 GPA & no F’s
Missing 3 meetings means removal from Student Council
All students who run are eligible to participate on student council committees if they do not win an officer position.

 President: Open to all AdVENTURE 7th and 8th graders - 
  • In charge of the student body
  • Runs all meetings (Adventure)
  • Attends all Herman Meetings
  • Morning Announcements
  • Speech at Graduation
  • Oversees ASB budget

Vice President: Open to all AdVENTURE 7th and 8th graders 
  • Second in charge
  • Runs meetings (Adventure) if President sick or absent
  • Morning Announcements
  • Speech at Graduation
  • Voting at member meetings

Publicist: Open to all AdVENTURE 6th, 7th and 8th graders - 
  • Two positions open
  • Creative, outgoing individual who will write some morning announcements
  • Lead Poster making to advertise school & Adventure Events
  • Attends all Adventure and Herman student council meetings

Class representative: Open to all grades. There is one class representative from each class.
  • ONE per class (e.g. one for 6A & one for 6B)
  • In charge of social events and activities for Adventure
  • Goes to Herman AND adventure meetings
  • Votes at meetings

* Speech given in class just to class group

If you would like to apply for any of these positions, you must fill out the correct application. You may download the forms by clicking on the name of the position you want to apply for.

Submit your application to Mrs. Hogen-Esch (in Room 6). Applications are due on September 14.


Students running for president, vice president and publicist will need to record their speech and upload their video to YouTube. Email Mrs. Hogen-Esch the link to your video no later than September 19, and be sure your video is set to Private. Adventure will watch the speeches in 6th period on September 20. All voting will happen immediately after videos are shown.

Students running for class representatives will give their speeches on September 20th, and voting will be done immediately following the speeches.
